Shishi Gashira Dwarf Camellia Sasanqua – 1 Gallon Pot

I was looking for a dwarf camelia to put in a large pot on my patio. Nothing was available at my local nurseries. I am so impressed with the quality of the plant I purchased and how it was packed for shipping!! I also loved the selection of camelia and sizes on the website. This was my first experience ordering a plant through the mail, so I was understandably worried about its quality and delivery. Thankfully, my worries were unfounded. It arrived in beautiful condition, well-packaged, and with instructions for its care. I planted it within a day and it seems to be thriving–even in the summer heat. (Naturally, I’m here to water it through the summer.) My only regret is that I didn’t buy the 3 gallon instead of the 1 gallon size, as I know these camellias grow slowly. I’d suggest you offer more clarification about how to access specific instruction for planting camellias on your website, as I had to search around a bit to find them. These smaller variant Camillias arrived very well packed with no apparent damage to the root balls and/or branches. The advice and warnings contained on your website were very helpful and reassuring when each plant dropped 3 to 6 leaves as you’d warned would happen. Having fertilized and watered them when I transplanted them into larger pots per your instructions and in the process of acidifying the potting soil. I’m awaiting evidence of new growth which I expect to see a month after they arrived from you.
