Midnight Flare Azalea – 3 Gallon Pot

 

Winner of the Southeastern Rhododendron Award in 2010, which is quite an honor when considering that there are thousands of azalea varieties in existence, Midnight Flare Azalea features an explosion of blooms in an almost indescribable shade of red like no other. It’s very difficult to capture the color well with a camera, but we’d say it’s a tomato red with some very subtle coralish to purple undertones. Some suggest there’s no other azalea with as deep and dark red flower color. One way or another the flowers have a color all their own and are sure to get get a lot of oohs and ahhs when blooming in spring. Deep green foliage is attractive year round.
